Mercyhurst extended the lead by one in the fifth when Egelston hit a SAC fly bringing home Chloe McQuestion who singled and advanced to third on a Fry single.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Lakers added three insurance runs with big additions from players off the bench. Anna O'Geen brought home Sarah Koscho who pinch ran for Celeste Ponce. O'Geen and Eliza Reynolds scored the Lakers last two runs on a single to left-field by Fry.
