ERIE, Pa. - The Men's Hockey team took on Army West Point tonight, Dec. 9, 2022, in the MIC. 

The Lakers were triumphant, boasting a 4-3 lead.

How it Happened

First Period

Marko Reifenberger was the first to score. He found the net at 8:56. He was assisted by Jonathan Bendorf

Eric Espositio capitalized on a power play at 16:12 to bring the score to 2-0. Cade Townend and Steven Agriogianis passed the puck.

Second Period

The second was scoreless. Owen Say saved 13 shots on the net.

Third Period

Army earned a power play goal at 3:27, the score was now 1-2.

Rylee St. Onge passed the puck to Garrett Dahm to score a shorthanded goal at 12:59.

At 17:22 and 18:10 Army had the six-on-five advantage to tie the game. 

Mickey Burns scored the game-winner at 19:48. He was helped by Townend. 

Highlights

Owen Say had 29 saves on the night. 
Keanan Stewart had four blocks on the night. 
Mickey Burns dumped it in the net to score the game-winner, his third goal of the season.
Cade Townend earned a pair of assists.
