ERIE, Pa. - The Women's Hockey team came off of a two-week hiatus to take on the St. Lawrence Saints.
The Lakers boasted a 6-4 win.
How it Happened
First Period
With 38 seconds off the clock, Sara Boucher dumped her fourth goal of the season into the net. Vanessa Upson tallied the assist.
At 11:14, Thea Johansson made the score 2-0. The goal was unassisted.
Second Period
With 11:13 elapsed, Sydney Pedersen saw the opportunity and capitalized on it. Johansson grabbed her second point with an assist.
51 seconds remained on the clock, and the Saints found a way to get on the board.
Third Period
The Saints scored another on a power play with 18:18 left in the third.
St. Lawrence came back to tie the game with 13:49 on the board.
Pedersen answered back at 7:44 to take back the lead. Upson tallied her second assist of the night on the power play goal.
Johansson brought another point with 13:32 elapsed. Chantal Ste-Croix and Kylee Mahoney picked up the assists.
Minutes later, Johansson earned a hat trick and secured the game, 6-3.
St. Lawrence tried to gain momentum with a late goal. 2:02 was left in the game.
