The beginning of the game saw a lot of back-and-forth action, as both teams couldn't take the charge on the field. In 10

Madison Hoover tried to surprise Edinboro's goalkeeper but her shot bounced of the crossbar. A Couple minutes later
Lauren Casey tried to repeat her long-distance shot from last week, but her shot missed high.
The Lakers kept applying pressure, but despite their great effort they couldn't get through Edinboro's defense. They took ten shots and four of them were on target. As they didn't capitalize on their scoring situations in the first half, they went into the break with a tie, 0-0.
The second half was very similar to the first, as both teams couldn't capitalize on their scoring opportunities and exploit mistakes. In the 52
nd minute of the match Casey took another good shot on the goal, but it was saved by Edinboro's goalkeeper.
Amber Thomas tried her luck in 75
th minute of the game, however her shot was saved.
Mercyhurst kept pushing the ball forward. With a couple minutes left on the clock
Karah Van Horn took a good shot, but once again it was saved by Edinboro's goalkeeper.
Teagan Mehalko had one more chance to score in 89

Despite the Lakers' domination on the field, they were unable to take a lead in the rematch against the Fighting Scots. They took 21 shots, and nine of them on target, whereas Edinboro only took seven and four on the goal. Mercyhurst have drawn eight corners but didn't capitalize on any of them.
