Erie, Pa.—After taking Kutztown to overtime Saturday, the Mercyhurst Women's Basketball team will stay on the road as they head to Greensburg for a matchup with Seton Hill scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

The Matchup

Seton Hill is 9-7 all-time against Mercyhurst after meeting for the first time in 1986. Mercyhurst came out ahead 70-64 in their last meeting on Feb. 5, 2020, at Seton Hill, and the teams split their two games that season.

Workin' Overtime

The Lakers fought their way back in the second half of Saturday's game at Kutztown to force overtime, marking their third overtime contest of the season. They are now 2-1 in games that took longer than 40 minutes to decide. This is the first season in the program's history in which the team has played in three overtime games.

Monday Warriors

Monday's game at Seton Hill was scheduled after their original meeting on Jan. 8 was postponed. After playing a regularly-scheduled game against Clarion on Jan. 10, this will be the first time the Lakers have played on consecutive Mondays since Dec. 12 and 19, 2005.

Scouting Seton Hill

The Griffins are currently perched atop the PSAC West standings with a 12-4 overall record and 6-1 PSAC record. Winners of their last six games dating back to Dec. 14, 2020, Seton Hill's last win came on Wednesday, when they defeated Clarion 68-59 on the road. Katie Nolan is averaging 13.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, while Christiane Frye is averaging 10.1 points with two steals per game despite starting in just one contest.
