Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Six different Lakers scored on the day as the Mercyhurst men's soccer team topped host Shepherd 6-0 Wednesday afternoon.
How it Happened
Mercyhurst got on the board early when Thomas Binkowski scored in the 11th minute on an assist from Salvador Rang.
Rang would factor into the second goal as well picking up his second assist on an Axel Aronsson tally in the 23rd minute.
Dylan Sumner made the lead 3-0 in the 30th minute assisted by Darragh Curtin. The Lakers would carry the 3-0 lead into halftime.
Just 1:47 into the second half Nic Munch extended the advantage with Rang notching his third assist. Sean Kerrigan and Nevado Elliott each scored insurance goals in the second half to set the final.
By the Numbers
The Lakers dominated play generating 29 shots, 20 on goal, to just two off target shots for the Rams. Mercyhurst also held a 10-0 advantage on corner kicks.
This was the first time the Lakers scored six goals since a 6-0 victory over Pitt Johnstown on Oct. 5, 2019.
