ERIE, Pa. -- Mercyhurst University and Mercyhurst Preparatory School cut the ribbon on their shared mutli-purpose turf field Friday morning.

The field will serve as the home for Mercyhurst University softball as well as Mercyhurst Prep softball and soccer teams. 

Mercyhurst University Dr. Kathleen Getz and Mercyhurst Prep Interim President Sr. JoAnne Courneen gave remarks before sharing the ceremonial scissors to cut the ribbon. Erie Mayor Joe Schember also spoke at the ceremony.
