ERIE, Pa.—The Mercyhurst women's tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 decision to visiting Slippery Rock Tuesday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet Club.

The Rock took the doubles point winning two of three matches. Valentine Budin and Janice Theodora teamed up for a 6-2 win for the Lakers at number three.

Budin scored a win at number four singles 6-0, 7-6. Theodora also tallied a singles victory 6-3, 6-1 final at number six.

Alana Lewis added the third singles point for the Lakers at number five with 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 win.

The Lakers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Seton Hill for an 11:30 a.m. match.
