Men’s Basketball Reaches Century Mark in Win Over D’Youville

Buffalo, NY—The Mercyhurst Men's Basketball team continued their unbeaten streak and scored 100 points for the first time this season as they downed D'Youville 104-56 on the road Saturday.

The Lakers scored 50 or more points in each half while shooting 53 percent from the floor and an astounding 82 percent from the free-throw line.

Already with a 20-point lead heading into the second half, the Lakers went on a six-point run coming out of the locker room and wound up holding D'Youville to just 22 points in the second half.

Two different Lakers scored 20-plus points in MiyKah McIntosh (28) and Steve Cannady (21), with Nicholas Lang getting into the double-digits with 14 points. In addition, the Lakers received 26 of their 104 points from the bench.

Mercyhurst led in both offensive and defensive rebounds on the day, led by Pipeloluwa Ajayi, who had nine boards. Ajayi also provided some excitement with a pair of dunks during the game.

The Saints struggled to hold onto the ball, turning the ball over 27 times leading to 33 Mercyhurst points.
