Lock Haven, Pa.—The PSAC announced its end-of-season awards and All-Conference teams, and seven Lakers have cracked the list.
Highlighting the results are Sidney Warden taking home Western Division Athlete of the Year, Dylan Sumner being named Rookie of the Year, and Head Coach Ryan Osborne receiving Coach of the Year honors.
Warden finished the regular season with 18 goals and was the only PSAC player to finish with a goals-per-game average above one. He also led the conference in game-winning goals with five, and his 40 total points paced the competition as well.
In his first season of PSAC play, Sumner finished the regular season with seven goals, the most for a freshman in the Western Division. He also found himself in the top 10 for points, shots on goal and assists.
Also in his first full season of PSAC play with Lakers, Osborne guided the Lakers to a 12-3-2 overall record and a 7-1-2 PSAC West record. That record was good enough for the top seed in the PSAC West, and the Lakers host the PSAC Tournament starting tomorrow.
Warden and Sumner were joined by Nic Munch, Tom Barry and Sean Kerrigan on the Western Division's All-Conference First Team. It was the first all-conference team appearances for all five players.
Salvador Rang was also named to the PSAC Western Division's All-Conference Second Team for his second time.
