Since the start of the pandemic, my sisters and I have been exposed to the challenges that Mental Health providers have faced in caring for our vulnerable population living on their own in residential homes.  We see my mom sit at the dining room table and hear her on the phone all day and night figuring out how to continue to care for people as the residents, staff, and their families face the fears of illness due to COVID-19.  My sisters and I wanted to do something to say thank you to those MH residential healthcare workers who leave their families every day to take care others who can't take care of themselves.  So, today we wrote Thank You cards and placed them in bags with some small gifts to say thank you for their dedication and compassion!

I decided to make gift bags and thank you cards for the health care professionals in my neighborhood to thank them for their work on the front lines.  My sister is a nurse at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, so we also donated a box of Philly Pretzel Factory Pretzels to send in for her unit in the hospital.  Having 2 sisters in the health care profession, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, and I feel that they need to be thanked and appreciated for all the diligent work that they do.

Easter Project for Urban Mission Ministry:  The Urban Mission Ministry provides food and clothing for people in need.  The Urban Mission helps provide families in the Ohio Valley with hot meals each week, and during some holidays they provide assistance to families.  They also have a second hand shop that sells clothes and toys, as well as holds church services for people that would like to attend.  So, we donated 20 bags full of Easter goodies; little toys, crayons, candy, and bubbles.
