ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Charleston Saturday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet Club. 

The Golden Eagles swept the doubles matches to take a 1-0 team lead.  

In singles competition, Emily Gordon and Athena Tsagkaraki picked up wins for the Lakers. Charleston scored victories at No. 1, 2,3 and 6 singles. 

The Lakers are back in action on Sunday when they travel to take on Ashland.
