Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GLENVILLE, W. Va. – The Mercyhurst softball team fell 4-2 to West Virginia Wesleyan before dropping a 4-1 decision to Glenville on Sunday.
 
West Virginia Wesleyan 4, Mercyhurst 2
West Virginia took a 2-0 lead in the first inning before tallying another run in the third to make it 3-0. Mercyhurst came back with one run in the fifth while West Virginia picked up one in the sixth to make it 4-1. Mercyhurst crossed the plate once in the seventh but eventually fell 4-2.
 
Natalie Graff went 3-for-3 at bat for the Lakers and scored two runs while Brianne Egelston went 2-for-3. Emma LeGendre and Cheyenne Hindman each tallied one RBI.
 
Hindman pitched three innings allowing three runs on five hits. Marissa Cartellone also pitched three innings allowing one run on two hits. She also struck out one batter.
 
For West Virginia, Robinson had two runs while Smith and Rizor had one each. Alvarado had two RBI and Turner had one. Hundson went the distance on the mound striking out four batters and walking three.
 
 
Glenville 4, Mercyhurst 1
Glenville ran home two in the first while the Lakers ran home one. Glenville then picked up one run in the third and one in the sixth.
 
LeGendre ran home the Lakers lone run. Allison DeJidas and Egelston went 2-for-3 at bat. DeJidas had the lone RBI.
 
Cartellone and Kaitlin Hoffner shared the mound with Hoffner pitching five innings. She allowed two runs and struck out five batters.
 
For Glenville, Letart, Pelfrey, Werntz and Uber scores runs. Potter was 4-for-4 at bat while Pelfrey and Uber were 3-for-4. Ward pitched seven innings allowing seven hits and one run. She walked one and struck out three.
 
The Lakers are back in action for their Spring Break Trip on March. 1-6.
