Box Score ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's tennis team earned a 6-1 win over Daemen on Sunday at the Westwood Racquet Club.
 
Mercyhurst won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matchups to give it the victory.
 
In doubles, Ivona Plecevic and Nada Ostojic won 6-4 at No. 1. Naomi Jarh and Emily Gordon won 6-0 at No. 2 while Athina Tsagkaraki and Janice Theodora also won 6-0 at No. 3.
 
Doubles finished in the order of 2,3,1.
 
In singles, Jahr fell in three close matches at No. 1. Ostojic won 6-4 and 6-0 at No. 2 while Gordon (No. 3), Plecevic (No. 4), Tsagharaki (No. 5) and Alana Lewis (No. 6) all won in two 6-0 matches.
 
Singles finished in the order of 3,4,2,5,6,1.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Feb. 22 when they host Charleston at 6:30 p.m. The Lakers will then travel to Ashland on Feb. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
