Box Score ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst women's tennis team dropped its first match of the spring season 5-2 to St. Francis.

The Lakers fell 2-1 in doubles. It finished in the order of 3,1,2.

Ivona Plecevic and Nada Ostojic fell at No. 1, 6-3. Emily Gordon and Naomi Jahr lost at No. 2, 6-4, while Athina Tsagkaraki and Janice Theodora won 6-0.

In singles, Plecevic won in three matches at No. 4 and Alana Lewis won in two matches to No. 6.

Jahr lost in two matches at No. 1 singles, Ostojic lost in three matches at No. 2, Gordon fell in two matches at No. 3 and Tsagkaraki lost in three matches at No. 5.

The Lakers are back in action on Sunday when they host Daemen at the Westwood Racquet Club at 3:30 p.m.
