WINTHROP, Mass. –
Emma Nuutinen was named the College Hockey America Player of the Week, as announced by the association on Monday.
Nuutinen recorded three goals and two assists during the Lakers road sweep of RIT this past weekend.
On Friday, she tallied two power play goals and added assist to help lead the Lakers to a 5-2 win.
The next night she recorded one goal and one assist to aid the Lakers in the 5-1 win.
Nuutinen is currently leading the Mercyhurst roster with 16 goals and 31 points. She has eight power play goals and three game-winning goals on the season so far.
The Lakers are back in action after a weekend off on Feb. 7-8 when they travel to Lindenwood. Puck drops at 6:20 p.m. CT (7:20 p.m. EST) on Friday and 2:00 p.m. CT (1:00 p.m. EST) on Saturday.
