ERIE, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's hockey team dropped a 7-4 decision to visiting Bentley Saturday night in their series finale. 
Paul Maust got the Lakers off to a fast start with the first goal of the contest 8:25 into the first. Maust extended the lead with his second of the contest at the 1:13 mark. 
 
Bentley would answer with a pair of goals from Jonathan Desbien and Connor Brassard to send the game to the first intermission tied 2-2. 
The Falcons carried the momentum into the second period scoring three times to go to the second break up 5-2.  
James Anderson pulled the Lakers within two, 5-3, with his power play tally 43 seconds into the third.
 
Bentley added a pair of goals to push the lead back to 7-3 before 
Justin Cmunt scored his second goal in as many nights to set the final. 
 
Colin DeAugustine took the loss in net making 27 saves. 
Geoff Kitt picked up a pair of helpers for Mercyhurst.

Quinn Wichers and 
Michael Bevilacqua also recorded an assist. 
The Lakers hit the road for a weekend series with AIC beginning next Friday. The Friday contest is set for 7:05 p.m. with a Saturday matinee slated for 1:05 p.m.
