BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's tennis team swept Bloomsburg, 4-0, in a PSAC Tournament semifinal to advance to the program's fifth consecutive PSAC Tournament championship match. The Lakers will look to win their third straight conference crown on Saturday.

DOUBLES

• The Lakers jumped out to a 1-0 lead with victories at Nos. 1 and 3. The No. 2 match went unfinished.
• Cormac McCooey and Unai Amilleta Gonzalez teamed for a 6-0 win against Guille Carranza and Oliver Wiesemann in the No. 1 match.
• Sebastian Pardo and Felix Schmedding clinched the Laker doubles point with their 6-2 victory at No. 3 against Quin Bucheit and Benjamin Tauber.

SINGLES

• Schmedding continued his success with a 6-1, 6-1, win against Bucheit in the No. 6 singles contest.
• Pardo defeated Nagid Walle, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4 to give Mercyhurst a 3-0 lead.
• Amilleta Gonzalez clinched the match with his 6-0, 6-2, win against Wiesemann at No. 3.

NEXT UP

• The Lakers (16-3) will take on Edinboro in the PSAC Tournament final. The West Division champ Lakers have won each of the last two PSAC Tournament championships.
