KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The 23rd-ranked Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team closed its regular season with a 21-10 victory over PSAC opponent Kutztown on Saturday. With the win, the Lakers clinched the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
Mercyhurst stretched its current win streak to eight games, marking the program's longest streak since an 11-game run on Mar. 6-Apr. 10, 2016.

- Mercyhurst never trailed after jumping out in front, 3-0. Simon, Rescott and Hubert spotted the Laker goals. Fosco made two assists during that stretch.
- The Lakers took command later in the first half, going on a 6-0 run. Hubert had two goals during that stretch that left Mercyhurst with a 13-3 lead.
- Kutztown pulled within 13-5 before halftime and eventually cut its deficit to 15-9 in the second half.
