Nuutinen, Team Finland Earn First Ever Silver Medal at IIHF Women's World Championships

ESPOO, Finland – Emma Nuutinen and Team Finland earned its first ever silver medal at the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship.
 
Finland started off the tournament on April 4, with a 6-2 loss to USA.
 
They got their first win of the tournament defeating Russia 4-0 on April 6.
 
Finland went on to take down Switzerland 6-2 on April 8, to seed them against the Czech Republic for the Quarterfinals on April 11.
 
During the Quarterfinals, they won 3-1 to advance them to Semifinals against Canada on April 13. Finland took down Canada 4-2 to earn their first ever spot in the Championship game.
 
Finland went on to play USA in the Championship game on April 14, eventually falling 2-1 in a shootout to earn the silver medal.
