Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. – The Mercyhurst softball team lost 10-1 to LIU Post and 9-4 to Assumption on Thursday.
 
The Lakers finish their Spring Break Trip on March 8 at 1:45 p.m. against Bridgeport.
 
LIU Post 10, Mercyhurst 1 (5 inn.)
LIU Post took an early 4-0 lead in the first inning. Mercyhurst came back with its only run in the fourth inning before LIU Post scored six more runs in the fourth to win 10-1.
 
Jolene Teller had the Lakers other run while Megan Minihane had the teams only RBI. Ellie Dougher, Natalie Graff and Emma LeGendre all went 1-for-3.
 
Laura Gregory pitched three innings for the Lakers allowing nine earned runs and recording three strikeouts. Tori Pierucci pitched one inning for the Lakers while striking out one batter.
 
Hannah Finkelstein led the way for LIU Post going 2-for-2, earning one run and five RBI. Julia Seader and Abbey Fortin had two runs each while Allie Laird, Breanna Klaiber, Ashley Casazza, Leah Mele and Jayana Rios had one run each.
 
Katie Humhej was the winning pitcher for LIU Post (5-2), pitching five innings.
 
Assumption 9, Mercyhurst 4 (7 inn.)
Both teams recorded one run in the first inning before Assumption scored five in the second and two in the third to take a 8-1 lead. Mercyhurst came back with three runs in the fourth while Assumption had one more run in the fifth to win 9-4.
 
Dougher went 3-for-4, Graff went 2-for-4 while LeGendre and Minihane went 2-for-3 for the Lakers. Alyssa Coons, Sarah Koscho, Graff and Teller scored runs for Mercyhurst (2-14).
 
Gregory was the losing pitcher for Mercyhurst allowing three earned runs and recording one strikeout. Taylor Fry, Josey Moorhead and Pierucci also pitched on the mount for the Lakers.
 
Alyssa Beaton and Kayla Peabody went 3-for-5 for Assumption. Olivia Crowley and Peabody each had three RBI. Murphy scored three runs, Haley Drakoulakos and Mckenzie Richards had two runs and single runs were credited to Julia Mazzeo and Beaton.
 
Erin Barry was the winning pitcher for Assumption (5-2), Mia Patriacca also pitched three innings.
