BUFFALO,  N.Y. – Sarah Hine and Emma Nuutinen claimed awards at the 2019 College Hockey America Awards Banquet on Tuesday.
 
Hine was named the Best Defensive Forward, while Nuutinen was selected to the CHA All-Conference First Team.
 
Hine, a senior from Hamilton, Ont., has played in 31 games this season while recording nine goals and nine assists for 18 points. She tallied one power play goal and one shorthanded goal. Hine blocked 24 shots in the defensive zone.
 
Nuutinen, a junior from Vantaa, Finland, has seen action in 29 games this season. She is on top of the Laker roster with 15 goals and 27 points. Nuutinen has recorded five power play goals, two shorthanded goals and two game winning goals this season. She was named the CHA Player of the Week twice and the CHA Player of the Month once this season.
