Last Time Out
The Lakers travel to the Rochester Institute of Technology on Feb. 2and came back with a 3-2 overtime win.
Alexa Vasko got the Lakers on the board first, before RIT scored two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the third period. Vasko then scored again to tie the game and send it into overtime. Summer-Rae Dobson scored in overtime to give Mercyhurst its 3-2 win. Emily Pinto, Emma Nuutinen, Maggie Knott, Sarah Nelles, K.K Thiessen and Vilma Tanskanen had assists.
Previous Matchup
Back in October, the Lakers traveled to Syracuse and swept the weekend series winning 4-2 and 1-0.
Rachel Marmen, Liliane Perrault, Megan Korzack, Sam Isbell, Sarah Hine, Tanskanen, Vasko, Knott, Nuutinen, Dobson and Nelles.
Sarah McDonnell stopped a total of 48 shots in net during the weekend including a shutout on Saturday.
Jessica Digirolamo, Lauren Bellefontaine, Abby Moloughney and Brooke Avery recorded points for Syracuse.
Maddi Welch recorded 25 saves on Friday before Ady Cohen made 23 saves on Saturday.

Scouting Syracuse
The Orange are coming into the weekend with a 6-18-2, 6-5-1 record. They are coming off of a 5-2 loss to sixth-ranked Cornell.
Allie Munroe is leading the Orange roster with 14 assists and 17 points. Emma Polaski and Lauren Bellefontaine are next with 15 points each. Avery is close behind with 13 points.
In net, Welch has a 5-12-2 record, 3.42 goals against average and .878 save percentage. Cohen has a 1-4-0 record, 3.20 GAA and .870 save percentage. Allison Small has a 0-2-0 record, 6.75 GAA and .809 save percentage.
The Orange are ranked 22nd on the power play with 15.2 percent and ranked 36th on the penalty kill with 79.7 percent.
Munroe is tied for 16th in the nation with 0.65 points per game as a defenseman.

Nuutinen is tied for 21st in the nation with 0.57 goals per game. Knott is tied for 31st in the nation with 0.60 assists per game.

Vasko was named the CHA Player of the Week while Nuutinen was named the CHA Player of the Month.

All six teams go to the CHA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y. Seeds 3-6 play in the quarterfinals with the two winners advancing to face the top two seeds the next day in the Semifinals. The two winners face-off in the Championship game the next day.
