The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team is set to host the Rochester Institute of Technology at the Mercyhurst Ice Center on March 1-2 for the last weekend series of the regular season. Puck drops at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Lakers traveled to Robert Morris and split the weekend series winning 5-2 on Friday and falling 4-1 on Saturday.
 
Alexa Vasko, Rachel Marmen, Emma Nuutinen, Michele Robillard, Vilma Tanskanen, Sarah Hine, Molly Blasen, Summer-Rae Dobson and Samantha Fieseler recorded points for Mercyhurst.
 
Kennedy Blair made 53 saves in net during the weekend.
 
Previous Matchup
The Lakers took on RIT in Rochester, N.Y. falling 4-2 on Jan. 18 before winning 3-2 in overtime on Feb. 2.
 
Maggie Knott, Emily Pinto, Sarah Nelles, K.K. Thiessen, Dobson, Nuutinen, Tanskanen, Fieseler and Vasko tallied points for the Lakers during the two games.
 
Blair made 28 saves during the first game and Sarah McDonnell made 17 saves the next game.
 
Logan Land, Kandice Sheriff, Ellie Larson, Brittney Gout, Kathryn Kennedy, Mallory Rushton, Tori Haywood, Madison Itagaki, Jordan Marchese, Hunter Barnett and Taylor Sims had points for RIT.

The Tigers are coming into the weekend series with a 12-15-5, 8-9-1 record. They are coming off of a split weekend series with Penn State. The Tigers won 3-0 the first day before falling 2-1 the next day.
 
Kendall Cornine is leading the Tiger roster with 11 goals and 19 points. Gout is on top with 12 assists and has 18 points. Larson is close behind with 16 points.
 
Lanteigne has earned a 12-14-5 record with a 1.99 goal against average and .945 save percentage. She is ranked second in the nation with her save percentage and ranked 18th in the nation with her GAA. Jenna de Jonge has a 0-1-0 record, 10.40 GAA and .765 save percentage. Jessi O'Leary has made five saves in net.
 
The Tigers are ranked 27th in the nation on the power play with 14.3 percent and ranked 28th on the penalty kill going 82.4 percent.
 
Laker Lineup
The Lakers are coming into the weekend series with a 13-13-5, 10-6-2 record.
 
Nuutinen is on top of the Laker roster with 15 goals and 27 points. Dobson and Knott have 20 points each while Sam Isbell and Vasko each have 17 points.

All six teams go to the CHA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y. Seeds 3-6 play in the quarterfinals on March 6, with the two winners advancing to face the top two seeds the next day in the Semifinals. The two winners face-off in the Championship game on March 8.
