Box Score UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team played to a 2-2 tie with Penn State during College Hockey America action on Saturday.
 
Summer-Rae Dobson had a goal and an assist while 
Michele Robillard scored the other Laker goal. 
Sarah Hine, 
Emma Nuutinen and 
Sam Isbell picked up assists for Mercyhurst (12-12-5, 9-5-2).
 
Katie Rankin and Natalie Heising scored for Penn State (10-12-8, 4-8-4).
 
One minute and seventeen seconds into the first period, Robillard scored to give Mercyhurst an early 1-0 lead. Hine and Dobson tallied assists.
 
At 11:28 of the second period, Rankin scored on the power play to tie the game at 1-1.
 
During the third period, Penn State was awarded a penalty shot but 
Kennedy Blair made the save.
 
Later in the third period, Dobson converted on the power play to give Mercyhurst its lead back. Nuutinen and Isbell added assists. 
 
With 39 seconds left in the third period, Heising scored to tie it back up at 2-2 and sent it into overtime.
 
The Lakers went 1-for-7 on the power play while the Nittany Lions finished 1-for-6.
 
Blair made 27 saves in net for Mercyhurst while Jenna Brenneman stopped 20 shots and Cam Leonard made 3 saves for Penn State.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Feb. 22-23 when they travel to Robert Morris. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. on Friday and 3:05 p.m. on Saturday.
