Previous Game Recap

• Four Lakers scored in double digits including Eliza Oswalt and Amber Renz who led the MU tallying 11 points each. Lauren Lapertosa and Jenna Kunst both scored 10. Lauren Lapertosa and Kunst led the Lakers in rebounds with five, respectively.
• Coming out of the half, Lakers own Kunst would connect with a layup, tying the game at 40 all. The Lakers next possession, Meghan Komendarek would hit a jumper giving MU the lead 42-41 with just over seven minutes to go. But yet again, Edinboro would respond with a 9-0 run giving EU the lead 50-42. MU would respond cutting the deficit to only two but a big three pointer by Bridgette Shaffer gave the Fighting Scots a five point lead (55-50) going into the fourth.
• Edinboro's first possession in the fourth resulted in a Michelle Jahn three pointer.  EU would then score four more consecutive points pushing the lead to 12 (62-50). With 2:21 left to go in the game, Lapertosa would make two free-throws which would start a Laker 10-2 run cutting the lead to four (72-68). Edinboro would have another answer for the Laker run as they would close out the game on an 8-2 run.
• Throughout the game there was 11 different lead changes.

Keys for Mercyhurst

• This is the final road game of three before heading back home.  It has been a tough stretch for the Lakers but will look to earn a victory and upset the number five team in the nation, IUP.
• The Lakers have two players averaging double digits each game with Amber Renz leading the way with 11.6 per game with Oswalt right behind her with 11.4. Emily Shopene is on the brink of breaking double digits as she sits at 9.3 points per game. Shopene also leads the team in assists and sits 5th in the PSAC (4.5). Lapertosa and Oswalt both lead the team in rebounds with 4.3.
• As a team, Mercyhurst is third in the conference in three point field goal percentage (.342) and in field goals made (7.2). MU is 10th in the conference scoring 68.2 per game and is 13th defensively giving up 70.5 points per game. The Lakers are also ranked 12th in field goal percentage per game (.404).

Keys for IUP

• IUP is looking to win its third straight game after a road win at Clarion 73-51 (Jan. 26) and Seton Hill 72-57 (Jan. 30). Their only loss of the season came to California (Pa.) at home 61-56 (Jan. 23).
• Some key players to watch for Crimson Hawks are Brittany Robinson who sits ranked second in the PSAC and 11th in the country in field goal percentage (59.5).
• Lauren Wolosik is another key player for IUP and ranks a top of the conference in many categories including, first in three point field goal percentage (.464), first in assists (6.5) and sixth in steals (2.5).
• Brittany Robinson and Lexi Griggs are key defenders for IUP with both in the top 10 in blocks per game with Robinson sixth (1.1) and Griggs at eighth (0.9).

Against IUP

• In the Previous matchup, IUP opened up the contest with an 11-0 run and led the rest of the way. The Hawks connected on their first seven attempts from three-point land -- the seventh gave IUP a 43-25 lead. The margin held in double-figures the remainder of the game.
• IUP leads the all-time series against MU 25-6. Last year, both teams took a win on their court with the Crimson Hawks winning the first game 89-38 (Jan. 6) and the Lakers taking the second  66-61 (Jan.27)
