Women's Soccer Ends Season with 2-1 Loss in the PSAC Quarterfinals to Edinboro

EDINBORO, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Edinboro during the Quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament on Wednesday.
 
Despite Mercyhurst controlling the game in the first half, Edinboro scored two goals in less than two minutes in the second half to take a 2-1 lead.
 
Danielle Chatten scored both goals, first at 63:27 and then again at 65:03 for Edinboro.
 
Maya Bauer got the Lakers on the board off of a penalty kick, to make it 2-1 Edinboro and the eventual Fighting Scots win.
 
Vilde Wold made five saves in net for the Lakers while Anna Voelker made 10 saves for the Fighting Scots.
 
Mercyhurst held a 11-7 shots on goal advantage while Edinboro had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
 
The Lakers ended the 2019 season with a 11-6-2, 10-6-1 PSAC record.
