Box Score HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team skated to a 3-3 tie with Colgate during non-conference action on Saturday.

Colgate (2-2-1) struck first on the power play at 5:08 of the first period. Delani MacKay recorded the early goal for the Raiders.

Less than two minutes into the second period, Colgate extended its lead to 2-0. Coralie Larose picked up the goal.

Mercyhurst then scored two goals in two minutes and thirty-one seconds to tie the game up at 2-2.

Isbell got the Lakers on the board first with assists from Vasko and Nuutinen. There was a scramble in front of the net and Vasko's shot was rebound towards Isbell for the one-timer.

Weiss then scored her first collegiate goal with assists from Thiessen and Knott. On a delayed penalty call, Weiss shot it from outside the faceoff circle to tie the game.

After the Lakers killed off a 5-on-3 penalty, Colgate scored to take the lead back.Â

Halfway through the third period, Korzack tied the game back up at 3-3 with assists from Perreault and Marmen. Korzack skated the puck towards the net and put it in the top left corner.

Kennedy Blair made 34 saves for Mercyhurst while Liz Auby made 34 saves for Colgate.

Blair also recorded her 1,000th career save during the contest.

The Lakers went 0-for-2 on the power play. The Raiders were 1-for-4.

The Lakers are back in action Oct. 11-12 for their home opener, when they welcome non-conference opponent Sacred Heart for a two game weekend series. Puck drops at 3:05 p.m. on Friday and 2:05 p.m. on Saturday.
