The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team heads to the Inaugural Women's Ice Breaker Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 25-26, as the host school.
Last Time Out
Mercyhurst swept RIT last weekend for its second straight weekend sweep. The Lakers won 4-2 on Friday and 6-0 on Saturday.
Emma Nuutinen recorded three goals and three assists,

Previous Matchup
Mercyhurst and Minnesota Duluth last matched up during the 2009-10 season. The Lakers won 5-2 the first day before falling 4-3 the next day. Minnesota was ranked No. 5 at the time.
Mercyhurst and Colgate meet earlier this month in Hamilton, N.Y. The Lakers fell 2-1 before the two teams tied 3-3 the next day.
Mercyhurst and UConn last meet during the 2008-09 season. UConn won 3-2 the first day and Mercyhurst won 5-2 the next day.

Minnesota Duluth holds a 4-1-1 series advantage over Mercyhurst.
Mercyhurst holds a 7-1-2 edge in the all-time series with UConn.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Minnesota Duluth is coming into the tournament with a 3-3, 2-2 WCHA record. The Bulldogs are coming off of being swept by Bemidji State last weekend. They received nine votes on the USCHO.com Poll and 10 votes on the USA Today/Hockey Poll this week.
Gabbie Hughes and Sydney Brodt are on top of the roster with nine points. Ashton Bell is next with eight points and Anna Klein has three points.
In net, Maddie Rooney has played six games with a 2.06 goals against average and .915 save percentage with a 3-3-0 record. Emma Söderberg has seen action in one game.
Scouting the Raiders
Colgate is coming into the weekend with a 4-2-1, 0-0-0 ECAC record. The Raiders are coming off of a weekend sweep of Syracuse. They received five votes on the USCHO.com Poll and six votes on the USA Today/Hockey Poll this week.
Noemi Neubauerova is leading with seven points. Coralie Larose and Tanner Gates both have five points while four players have four points.
In net, Liz Auby has played seven games with a 1.74 GAA and .933 save percentage. Alexa Dobchuk has seen action in one game, allowing seven goals.
Scouting the Huskies
UConn has earned a 4-2, 2-2 Hockey East record so far this season. The Huskies are coming off of a 4-3 overtime win against Merrimack.
Natalie Snodgrass is leading the roster with six points while Catherine Crawley has five points. Morgan Wabick and Taylor Wabick both have four points.
In net, Morgan Fisher has played three games with a 1.01 GAA and .952 save percentage. Samantha Yelle-Carpentier has also played three games with a 1.01 GAA and .949 save percentage. MacKenzie Nicholas has played in one game and has allowed one goal.
Laker Outlook
Mercyhurst is coming into the tournament with a 4-1-1, 2-0-0 CHA record. The Lakers are coming off of a weekend sweep of RIT.
Vasko is on top of the roster with eight assists and 12 points. Nuutinen and Isbell are next with nine points each while Dobson and Pinto both have seven points.
In net, Blair has played all six games with a 1.75 GAA and .925 save percentage.
Jenna Silvonen saw action in one game, making four saves.
CHA Goalie of the Week
Blair was named the CHA Goalie of the Week for her 41 saves and 20 save shutout of RIT last weekend.
