The Mercyhurst men's basketball team look to push its winning streak to three as they host PSAC opponent Pitt-Johnstown.

- In the previous game, Jason Massey led the Lakers with 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals with Nelson Maxwell right behind him with 18 points and four rebounds himself. Patrick Smith was another notable Laker to mention recording a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds in the Lakers road win over Seton Hill 76-55.
- Massey, leads the Lakers in scoring and also ranks 11th in the conference averaging 17.1 per game and is also second in the PSAC in field goal percentage (.594). Maxwell and McIntosh are also scoring in double-digits for the Lakers putting up 10.4 points per game.
- Other notable Lakers that're a top of the conference is Trystan Pratapas who ranks number one in the PSAC in three-point field goal percentage (.569). Smith sits at seventh recording 8.5 rebounds per game while Edvaldo Ferreira also sits in seventh in the conference averaging 1.2 blocked shots per game. Derrick Ellis Jr. is 11th in assists per game with four.
- As a team, Mercyhurst is in the top five in four different categories in the conference. The Lakers are number one in defense only allowing 61.6 points per game which puts them at number three in the nation, number one in the conference in scoring margin (16) and eighth in the country. In the PSAC, MU is number one in three-point field goal percentage (.416) and is tenth in the country, third in the conference in three point field goals made per game (9.2) and fourth in field goal percentage (.481)
- Just like Mercyhurst, Pitt-Johnstown is coming off of a two game winning streak. The first of the two was a victory against Edinboro 100-88 (Jan. 12) with the second one coming against California (Pa.) 95-72 (Jan. 16). UPJ is third in the PSAC West sitting one game above the Lakers.
- Pitt-Johnstown has four different players scoring in double-digits with Josh Wise leading the way averaging 17.1 per game followed by John-Paul Kromka (14.6), Fred Mulbah (10.4) and Caiden Landis with 10.1
- Kromka is ranked number one in the conference with a field goal percentage of 63 percent, number one in blocks (2.6) and tenth in rebounds per game (7.8)
- Wise is ranked 12th in the PSAC in scoring for the Mountain Cats while Mulbah is third in assists (4.9).
- As a team, UPJ is number one in scoring averaging 87.3 points per game, first in field goal percentage and eighth in the nation (.514), fifth in three point field goal percentage (.366), and number three in scoring margin (12.1) placing them 25th in the country.
- The all-time series is tied between both teams 22-22. The Lakers home record against the Mountain Cats is 10-11. Last year, UPJ took both games by a score of 67-64 (Jan. 13) and 71-64 (Feb. 21)
