Men's Soccer Blanks Pittsburgh-Johnstown 2-0

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Henri Tophoven scored two goals while winning goaltender Martin Jarc notched a shutout as the Mercyhurst men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 PSAC victory over Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Sunday.
 
Tophoven scored his first goal of the game during the 65th minute. His second goal came in the 84th minute, assisted by Ruben Calvo.
 
In goal, Jarc made two saves to earn his second shutout of the season.
 
Josh Zakrzewski made ten saves for Pitts-Johnstown (2-5-0, 0-4-0 PSAC).
 
Mercyhurst (3-2-2, 1-1-2 PSAC) held a 25-4 shot advantage and a 12-0 edge in corner kicks.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Sept. 26 when they host Salem University at 3:30 p.m.
