BUTLER, Pa. – The Mercyhurst baseball game regained winning form with two 14-run performances to take down Penn State Greater Allegheny 14-5 and 14-0 in Sunday's doubleheader at Kelley Automotive Park.

Mercyhurst 14, PSUGA 5
The Lakers scored nine unanswered runs to begin the game on their way to a nine-run win in game one.
Drew Delsignore and
Daniel Elliott brought the big bats for Mercyhurst. Delsignore roped a game-high three hits and was just a home run short of the cycle. He also had three RBI and four runs scored.
Elliott had a game-high five RBI on two hits, a double and triple.
Jimmy Standohar reached base five times and scored four runs.
Six Lakers pitchers combined to allow just four hits to go with seven strikeouts.
Nicholas McRandal started and threw three innings while
Hunter Treece picked up the win with 2 innings of relief.
Mercyhurst 14, PSUGA 0
Five Lakers' pitchers combined for a one-hitter in Mercyhurst's shutout win in the second game of the day.

Adam Jeannette combined for ten punch outs versus four walks. PSUGA's lone hit came in the first inning.
Three Lakers' batters led the way offensively with a pair of hits each. D. Elliott had two hits and another RBI to bring his season-total to 15. He has driven in runs in eight of Mercyhurst's first 11 games this season.
Dominic Cecere had two hits, two runs scored, and two RBI while
Collin Fantaskey had two hits, a double and triple, and a pair of runs.
The Lakers begin Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division play this coming weekend with a pair of doubleheaders against California (Pa.). Mercyhurst hosts its home opener Friday, March 23 and travels to Cal Saturday. Game times are set for 1 and 3 p.m. both days.
