GAFFNEY, S.C. -- The 17th-ranked Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team suffered a 14-1 loss to eighth-rated Limestone in non-conference action on Saturday.

Grace Lawson had the lone goal for Mercyhurst (1-2). She was assisted by Kristin Anderson.

Kira Kolb and Cassandra Ellis added three groundballs each to the Mercyhurst defensive effort.

Rebecca Whitehead started in goal and made two saves. She was relieved by Raelyn Tiberio, who had 11 stops.

Caitlyn Nemeth had four goals for Limestone. Shannon Sisk totaled two goals and four assists.

Winning goalie Jenna Haring had six saves.

The Lakers will return to action on Saturday, Mar. 17, with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference contest at Bloomsburg.
