SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The 15th-ranked Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team suffered a 16-6 loss to fourth-ranked Le Moyne during non-conference action on Saturday.

Kristin Anderson was the Lakers' leading goal scorers with three. She also had eight groundballs.

Cassandra Ellis, Angelina Simon and Taylor Izzo also had goals. Lacey Netti tallied an assist.

Abby Miller had 13 saves in goal.

For Le Moyne (1-0), Nicole Delany scored four goals and Sidney Hall totaled three goals and two assists.

Hannah George was the winning goalie, totaling eight saves.

The Lakers (0-1) will return to action on Thursday, Mar. 8, with a visit to non-conference Lenoir-Rhyne.
