The Mercyhurst women's basketball will be on the road Saturday as they take on No. 11 Edinboro in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action. The Lakers won their final home game of the season 67-59 against Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Wednesday night. Edinboro (22-3, 18-3 PSAC) dropped its most recent competition to No. 9 Indiana (Pa.) 53-67.
 
The Lakers lost 73-54 to the then No. 15 Fighting Scots when the two programs last met on January 24^th. Kori Sidwell led Mercyhurst with 15 points during this contest, Emily Shopene contributed 13 points while, Lauren Lapertosa and Maria Lapertosa each contributed eight points. Edinboro had five players add double digits with, Jontay Walton, who posted a game-high of 19 points, Ciara Rosten earned a double-double with 17 pounds and 10 rebounds. Michaela Barnes added 13 points while Michelle Jahn and Ayana Vaughn each added 11.
 
 
The Lakers are currently led by Maria Lapertosa who adds 12.8 points per game. Amber Renz contributes 12.2 points per game. Eliza Oswalt rounds out the top three with 7.5 points per game. Emilee Norris averaged 6.9 points per game she leads rebounds with 7.1 per game and blocks with 44 on the season. Emily Shopene leads the team in assists with 100 and steals with 26.


Edinboro has four players who average in double digits led by Jontay Walton with 16.5. Ciara Rosten adds 16.5, she also leads the team in rebounds adding 11.7 per game. Micheala Barnes and Michelle Jahn add 12.9 and 12.5 respectively.
