The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will host Pittsburgh Johnstown in their final home game of the season on Wednesday at 5:30pm in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action. The Lakers will honor their sole senior
Jamaya Shabazz prior to the contest. The Lakers are currently on a five game loss streak dropping their most recent contest to Gannon 59-75. The Mountain Cats are on a one game winning streak having claimed a 70-58 victory over Slippery Rock.

Pittsburgh-Johnstown (10-16, 7-14Â PSAC) leads the all-time series between the two teams 19-11. The Mountain Cats claimed a 63-54 victory and was led Pittsburgh-Johnstown was led by Gabrielle Smith, who contributed 22 points. Olivia McCabe earned a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Alexis Hartwick added 10 points. Mercyhurst saw large production from
Vivian Allison, who contributed 12 points and seven rebounds and
Eliza Oswalt added 11 points.

The Lakers are currently seventh in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West while Pittsburgh-Johnstown is eighth ranked.

Mercyhurst is led by
Maria Lapertosa with 12.8 points per game, followed closely by
Amber Renz, who has 12.5 points per game.
Emilee Norris, and
Eliza Oswalt round out the top four players with 6.7 and 6.3 points per game respectively. Norris leads the team in rebounds with 7.2 per game and blocks with 44 on the season.
Emily Shopene leads the teams in assists with 98 and steals with 25 through the season.

The Mountain Cats are led by Gabrielle Smith with 14.8 points per games, she leads assists with 57 on the season. Olivia McCabe contributes 14.2 points per game and she leads rebounds with 10.2 per game. Tori Morelan and Laurel O'Barto both add 8.7 points per game.
