The Mercyhurst women's ice hockey team hosts College Hockey America opponent Robert Morris for a two-game weekend series on Oct. 19-20 at the Mercyhurst Ice Center. Puck drops at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
 
Last Time Out
Mercyhurst picked up its first two wins of the season at Syracuse on Oct. 12-13.
 
On Friday, Maggie Knott recorded two goals and an assist to lead the Lakers to a 4-2 win. Vilma Tanskanen and Rachel Marmen scored the other two goals. Single assists were credited to Alexa Vasko, Emma Nuutinen, Summer-Rae Dobson, Liliane Perreault, Megan Korzack and Sarah Nelles. Goaltender Sarah McDonnell made 23 saves in net for Mercyhurst.
 
During Saturday's game, Sam Isbell tallied the only goal of the game to give Mercyhurst a 1-0 win. Sarah Hine and Dobson assisted the goal. McDonnell made 25 saves in net.
 
Previous Matchup
Last season the Lakers and Colonials met five times, including once during the post season. Mercyhurst came out with a 3-2-0 record.
 
The two teams split both weekend series before Mercyhurst defeated, then ninth-ranked Robert Morris, in the CHA Championship game.
 
During the five games, Knott (2g, 2a), Vasko (1g, 3a), Marmen (1g, 3a), Nuutinen (2g, 1a), Tanskanen (1g, 2a), Samantha Fieseler (1g, 1a), Hine (1a), Celine Frappier (1a) and Kennedy Blair (1a) had points for Mercyhurst. Blair also made 124 saves in net while earning two shutouts.
 
Jaycee Gebhard (2g, 1a), Maggie Lague (2a), Kristen Welsh (1g, 1a), Amber Rennie (1g, 1a) and Emily Curlett (1g) recorded points for Robert Morris.
 
In December Mercyhurst traveled to ninth-ranked Robert Morris, winning 1-0 on Friday before falling 2-1 on Saturday.
 
Later in the season, the Lakers hosted the Colonials and came away with a 2-0 win and 3-2 loss.
 
During the CHA Championship game, Mercyhurst defeated No. 9 Robert Morris 5-3.

Mercyhurst holds a 43-12-3 all-time series advantage over Robert Morris, including a 154-53 edge in goals scored.
 
Scouting Robert Morris
Robert Morris is coming into the weekend with a 2-4, 0-0 CHA record.
 
The Colonials are coming off of a split weekend series with RPI. They fell 1-0 on Friday before winning 3-1 on Saturday.
 
Gebhard is on top of the Colonial roster with three goals and four assists for seven points. Lexi Templeman is next with three points. They are followed by Anjelica Diffendal, Sarah Quaranta, Welsh and Rennie with two points each.
 
In net, Robert Morris has Lauren Bailey and Arielle DeSmet. Bailey has earned a 1-4-0 record while putting forth a 2.63 goals against average and .882 save percentage. DeSmet has a 1-0-0 record with a 1.00 GAA and .889 save percentage.

Nuutinen is leading the Laker roster with four points (2g, 2a). Close behind are Knott (2g, 1a), Emily Pinto (2g, 1a) and Dobson (1g, 2a).
 
Between the Pipes
McDonnell made 48 saves during the Lakers sweep of Syracuse. She earned a .960 save percentage and a 1.00 GAA. She also picked up her ninth career shutout.
 
CHA Awards
Knott was named the CHA Player of the Week while McDonnell was named the CHA Goaltender of the Week.
