Women's Soccer Falls 2-1 to Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 over time decision to Lock Haven during Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play on Friday.
 
Maia Russo scored the lone Laker (6-6-1, 4-6-1 PSAC) goal.
 
Lock Haven (8-2-1, 8-2-1 PSAC) got on the board first during the 76th minute with a goal from Marah Foltz. Taylor Mortiz tallied an assist.
 
Russo tied the game 1-1 in the 87th minute with her second goal of the season. Maya Fanazini and G.G. Abdalah added assists.
 
Foltz scored her second goal of the game to end the game in a 2-1 win for Lock Haven. The overtime goal was assisted by Haleigh Swam.
 
Vilde Wold made nine saves in net for the Lakers while Bree Hilly stopped eight shots for the Bald Eagles.
 
Lock Haven held a 25-13 shot advantage and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.
 
The Lakers are back in action on Sunday at the Mercyhurst Soccer Field when they host Edinboro at 1 p.m.
