The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will host No. 6 Indiana (Pa.) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center. The Lakers will don pink uniforms as part of its annual game to raise breast cancer awareness during this competition.
The Lakers are 1-1 through their last week of competition ousting No. 14 California (61-53), but falling to No. 15 Edinboro (54-73). Indiana (17-1, 12-1 PSAC) has won their last two contests over Clarion (87-42) and Seton Hill (86-60).

Indiana (Pa.) sits at the top of the PSACÂ West Conference sixth places ahead of seventh ranked Mercyhurst.Â
The visiting Crimson Hawks lead the all-time series between the two teams holding a 24-5 advantage, and including victories in the last four matchups. Including an 89-38 victory in the programs last contest. Mercyhurst (7-11, 5-7 PSAC) has a 5-8 record when playing with the home court advantage.

Maria Lapertosa who adds 13.6 points per game. Renz leads the team in free throw percentage converting 45 of 54 (.833) attempts.
Vivian Allison rounds out the top three scorers with 6.1 points per game, she heads three point percentage making 7 of 16 (.438).

Emilee Norris leads both rebounds and blocks for the Lakers, she averages 6.5 rebounds per game and has 28 blocks on the season.
Emily Shopene tops steals and assists with 19 and 63 respectively.

The Crimson Hawks have three players who average in the double digits led by Megan Smith (17.4), Carolyn Appleby (14.2) and Brittany Robinson (10.8). Lauren Wolosik falls just beneath this threshold with 9.3 points per game and leads assists for IUP with 93 on the season. Robinson leads rebounds with 6.8 per game.
