The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will face off against Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Wednesday. The Lakers are on a one game win streak after defeating Wheeling Jesuit 72-69, while Slippery Rock dropped their last contest 78-85 to Seton Hill.
 
The Lakers lead the all-time series between the two programs 17-14, including toppling The Rock in the past four consecutive contests.

Maria Lapertosa leads rebounds, posting six per game, she also adds 13.8 points per game. Emily Shopene leads assists with 33 and steals with nine. Emilee Norris has added 17 blocks on the season.
 
The Rock bring three players to the court that average double digits, led by Brooke Hinderliter (16.2), followed by Ciara Patterson (15.8), and Madison Johnson (11.2). Hinderliter leads assists with 32 on the season, and rebounds contributing 6.9 per game.
