The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will host No. 14 California (Pa.) on Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic competition at 1 pm in the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

Mercyhurst (6-11, 4-7 PSAC) dropped there most recent game to Gannon 57-85, while California (16-2, 11-1 PSAC) picked up a 62-53 victory over #Indiana (Pa.) in their last contest. California leads the all-time series between the two teams 26-9, Mercyhurst holds a 5-11 record when hosting the Vulcans. Mercyhurst currently rests in eighth place in the PSAC West seven spots behind first ranked California. 

Amber Renz leads Mercyhurst in points per game with 15.0, followed by Maria Lapertosa who adds 13.6 points per game, and Vivian Allison who averages 6.5. Emilee Norris tops rebounds with 5.9 per game, she also leads blocks with 27 on the season. Emily Shopene heads the assists category with 60, and leads steals with 16 on the season.

 Shatara Parsons is the top of the Vulcan's as she leads points per game ( 21.8), rebounds per game (8.1), blocks (48) and steals (54).  Mia Cushon adds 14.9, and DJ Hana rounds out the top three scorers with 9.4 points per game. California has eight of their eleven woman roster recording double digit steals this season.
