JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst men's basketball team will visit Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponent Pittsburgh-Johnstown for a 3 p.m. start on Saturday.
The Lakers (7-6, 4-5 PSAC) are coming off a 69-63 home win over Seton Hill on Wednesday.
Patrick Smith recorded his fifth double-double of the season, compiling 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Lorenzo Collier added 13 points,
Derrick Ellis Jr. had 12 points and three steals, and
Malcolm Walters totaled 11 points, five assists and three steals.
Mercyhurst has won two straight games.
UPJ (6-8, 4-6) has lost four straight games by a combined total of 14 points: Indiana, Pa. (5), Gannon (4), Edinboro (4) and California, Pa. (1). The Mountain Cats' last contest was an 81-80 loss to Cal on Wednesday.
Collier currently leads Mercyhurst with 14.5 points per game while Walters puts in 13.6.
Patrick Smith is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.2.
Derrick Ellis Jr. averages 2.9 assists.
UPJ's leading scorer is Isaac Vescovi, who puts in 20.9 points per game. Dale Clancy (16.5) and Josh Wise (15.0) also average in double-figures while Levi Masua grabs 7.3 rebounds per game.
