Men's Soccer Remains Perfect On Road

Box Score SALEM, W.V. – The Mercyhurst men's soccer team improved its road record to 5-0 with a 4-1 victory at Salem International Saturday afternoon.
 
Mercyhurst (7-2) has now won four straight matches against non-conference opponents during the 2017 season.
 
It took the Lakers a little over 12 minutes to take an early two-goal lead on the Tigers (6-3-1). Hady Sarr scored in the game's second minute to bring his season total to eight goals. Christopher Makengo added another score in the 13th minute to put the Lakers ahead 2-0.
 
Salem International scored in the 51st minute in the second half to pull within one, but Makengo responded with his second of the game and eighth of the season, putting the Lakers back in front by two.
 
Alex Garcia Piles netted his first of the season to put the Tigers away 4-1 late.
 
Mercyhurst plays its second of three-straight road games in its next game Wednesday, Oct. 4th at LeMoyne.
