LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Shelby Chesko was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Northwest Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Notre Dame (Ohio) Invitational, leading the Lakers to an undefeated 3-0 run throughout the tournament. 

Chesko posted 51 kills over the course of the three matches, including a game-high of 23 kills during a five-set victory over West Virginia Wesleyan. Chesko was the kill leader for Mercyhurst in kills for two of three matches. Chesko also had 41 digs and  seven block assists. 

Chesko went on two serving streaks on Saturday: she had a four point-streak, pushing Mercyhurst to an 8-2 advantage against WCW, which they would hold onto throughout the rest of the set. Chesko's second serving streak was 10 points against Notre Dame in the third set, pushing Mercyhurst to a commanding 14-4 lead.
