The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will take on West Chester in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on Saturday.
 
The Lakers enter this week of competition on after a 65-51 victory over Mansfield, while West Chester is in a two game rut dropping games to Indiana (Pa.) (75-86) and Seton Hill (78-86).

West Chester (1-3, 4-5 PSAC) leads the all-time series between the two team 4-3. Mercyhurst claimed their last victory over West Chester in the 2016-17 season when they defeated the Golden Rams 86-81.
 
Amber Renz leads Mercyhurst in points per game (19), three point percentage (.517). Renz sits in second on field goal percentage (.632), rebounds per game (5.4) and free throw percentage (.878).
 
Maria Lapertosa is the only other Laker to break into double-digit scoring with 13.8 points per game, she contributes six rebounds per game and has contributed 25 assists.
 
Emily Shopene leads assists as well as steals with 33 and nine respectively. Emilee Norris leas blocks and rebounds per game with 17 and 6.2 respectively.
 
West Chester has three Rams who score in double-digits led by Porscha Speller who contributes 21.6 points per game, followed by Mia Hopkins with 15.9 points per game, and Camden Boehner with 13.3 points per game. Hopkins leads rebounds with 11.7 per game and assists with 33 on the season.
