The Mercyhurst women's basketball team will face both Kutztown and Mansfield in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play this weekend. The Lakers will come into this weekend of competition after a tight 60-59 victory over Daemon on Thursday.

Mercyhurst is currently in a six-way tie for the first place for the PSAC West lead with a perfect conference record of 2-0 after defeating both Millersville and Cheyney. Mansfield is in a tie for second place in the PSAC East with a 1-1 PSAC record, while Kutztown is in a tie for third with a 0-2 record. 
 
Amber Renz lead the Lakers as she heads the points per game (19.4), rebounds per game (6.0), and three point percentage (.600) categories. Renz is second in free throw percentage (.882), and field goal percentage (.635).
 
Maria Lapertosa contributes 14.7 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game, she has added four steals and 18 assists this season. Emily Shopene adds 4.9 points per game she leads assists for Mercyhurst with 20, she also shares leadership, with Lauren Lapertosa, in free throw percentage (1.000). Emilee Norris contributes 4.2 points per game she leads the Lakers in blocks with 11, and is second in rebounds per game with 5.6.
 
KUTZTOWN Saturday, 1 pm:
Kutztown is currently on a two game win streak, earning victories over PSU Lehigh Valley, and Jefferson. Kutzown last loss when they played Slippery Rock, falling 54-68 in PSAC action.
 
The Golden Bears are led by Rylee Derr who notches 12.7 points per game and pulls down 4.6 rebounds she has added five steals, and 11 assists. Alexis Smith is the only other Kutztown player to break into double digits adding 10.0 points per game she also snags 3.0 rebounds per game, she leads steals with 10. Taylor Thames leads the team in assists with 25.
 
Kutztown leads the all-time series 4-3 between the two programs.

MANSFIELD Sunday, 1 pm:  
Mansfield (3-3, 1-1 PSAC) is on a two game losing streak dropping games against Roberts Wesleyan (63-74) and #10 California (49-71). Mansfield earned their last victory against Seton Hill when they defeated the Griffins 77-73.
 
Mansfield has three double digit offensive players led by Brielle Kelly who averages 16.8 points per game. Alyssa Mullins adds 13.3 points per game and Erin Gibbons contributes 10.8 points per game. Kelly leads the team in rebound with 7.3 per game, followed by Mullins who adds 6.3. McKenzie Hatch leads assists with 18 on the season, Gibbons has contributed 17.
 
Mercyhurst leads the overall series between the teams 16-2.
