Field Hockey Travels To Slippery Rock

The Mercyhurst field hockey team will take to the road on Tuesday to take on Slippery Rock in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action. Mercyhurst (6-7, 2-4 PSAC) are coming off of a 4-0 loss to Kutztown, while Slippery Rock (9-6, 4-3 PSAC) comes to the contest after dropping a 2-3 overtime game to Bloomsburg.
 
Senior forward Nicolette Tomani leads the Mercyhurst offense as she has scored eight goals, and contributed one assist for a total of 17 points. Sophomore Clare Ahern trails closely with 11 points, having scored three goals and recorded five assists. Bryna Cook rounds out the top three offensive players recording four goals on the season for eight points.
 
Mercyhurst has seen multiple goal production from three other Lakers, Leah Rogers, Taylor Balser, and Paige Albright have all found net twice for Mercyhurst.
 
Victoria Triaga has been the primary goalkeeper for the Lakers she has played 833 minutes in net over 13 game. Triaga has accumulated a .628 save percent, and a 3.13 goals allowed average.   
 
Kayla Ulrich leads Slippery Rock she has scored 11 goals and posted a pair of assists for 24 points. Brittany Morgan has 13 points coming from five goals and three assists. Kailee Krupski rounds out the top three players with nine points from four goals and one assist. Maddie Murphy has been the primary goal keeper who has recorded a .750 save percent and a 1.63 goals allowed average.
 
Slippery Rock defeated the Lakers 3-1 in the 2016 season.
