WORCESTER, Mass. -- 
Taylor Best scored with four seconds left in the third period to force a tie with Holy Cross as the Atlantic Hockey contest ended in a 4-4 tie on Saturday.
Mercyhurst goals were scored by seniors 
Jonathan Charbonneau and 
Nathan Ferriero and juniors 
Derek Barach and Best. Barach also tallied an assist while junior 
Les Lancaster grabbed two assists and seniors 
Zach Todd, 
Patrick Piacentini and 
Jack Riley and junior 
Les Lancaster each tallied an assist.
Holy Cross (0-0-2, 0-0-2) goals were scored by Peter Crinella, Mitch Collett, Danny Lopez and Logan Ferguson.
Mercyhurst started off the scoring with a power play goal from Barach at 13:41 in the first period. The goal assisted by Piacentini and Lancaster came eight seconds into the Lakers' power play.
The Lakers headed back on the power play at 14:59 and Charbonneau grabbed his first goal of the season 22 seconds into it, to make it 2-0 Mercyhurst.
Holy Cross came back with a goal from Crinella at 15:54 of the first period to make it 2-1 Mercyhurst. The Crusader goal with assisted by Charlie Barrow and T.J. Moore.
During the second period Holy Cross tied the game at 2-2 with a goal from Collett. Brett Mulcahy and Logan Milliken tallied assists.
The Lakers scored their third power play goal of the night at 8:45 of the second period when Ferriero got a break away and buried the puck in the back of the net. Todd had the lone assist.
Lopez scored for Holy Cross to tie the game at 3-3. Frank Boie and Johnny Coughlin had assists on the goal at 9:59 of the second period.
The Crusaders took their first lead of the game when Ferguson scored at 14:08 of the second period. Charlie Barrow tallied an assist.
With four seconds left in the third period Best grabbed his first goal of the season to send the game into overtime. He was assisted by Barach and Riley.
The Lakers went 3-for-8 on the power play while the Crusaders went 0-for-3.
Brandon Wildung stopped 29 shots between the pipes for Mercyhurst and Paul Berrafato made 46 saves for Holy Cross.
The Lakers are back in action October 20-21 at the Erie Insurance Arena for the SnowTown ThrowDown Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday at 2:35 p.m.
