Also for the Lakers, Janelle Williams scored two goals while Taylor Izzo, Emily Koestler and Taylor Santiago put in one each. Izzo and Emily Gebhardt made three assists each.

In the cage, winning goaltender Gabby Gravino registered 11 saves.

With the contest tied at 2-2 in the first half, the Lakers enjoyed a 4-1 stretch to take the lead for good.

Mercyhurst held a 7-4 lead at intermission and then used a 7-1 run in the second half to put the game out of reach.

The Lakers outshot the Redhawks, 42-26, and held a 22-6 advantage in draw controls.
