ERIE, Pa. --
Kristin Anderson was Mercyhurst's leading point-getter, finishing with four goals and two assists, as the seventh-ranked Lakers' women's lacrosse team defeated Kutztown, 19-9, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday at Tullio Field.
Anderson led a group of six Lakers to record four-or-more points.
Olivia Keirn added four goals and one assist and
Janelle Williams had three points and one assist.
Emily Gebhardt,
Grace Lawson and
Carly Zimmerman added two goals and two assists apiece.
Kyla Keefe and
Morgan Parker added one goal each for the Lakers (7-1, 3-0), who earned their sixth consecutive win.
Anderson also had six draw controls while Zimmerman and
Katrina Campbell picked up four and three groundballs, respectively. Lawson, Williams and Zimmerman caused two turnovers apiece.

Bella Corieri totaled three saves for Mercyhurst.
Facing an early 1-0 deficit, the Lakers went on a four-goal run and led the rest of the way from there. Kutztown (5-1, 1-4) closed its deficit to 6-5 in the first half, but Mercyhurst then outscored its visitors, 13-4, for the remainder of the game.
Lauren Huggins was Kutztown's top performer, finishing with five goals and four draw controls. Abby Cox had seven saves in net.
Mercyhurst held a 30-20 shot advantage and 18-12 edge in draws.
The Lakers will return to action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. PSAC contest at Edinboro.
